Pratintuo Cylindrical Stone Site or Batu Larung on Lematang Hill

The cylindrical stone is elliptical and is located on peak Lematang Hill and its orientation is facing top Mount Nilodingin. Location findings is limited by a river and a 2 meter wide moat.

IPHEDIA.com - Pratintuo Cylindrical Rock site, which residents call Batu (Stone) Larung, is located in the village of Tuo Hamlet, Lembah Masurai District, Merangin Regency, Jambi Province which is astronomically at coordinates 02º21'21.08 "LS and 101º53'47.03" BT.

Location Batu Larung from Bangko City is approximately 60 kilometers, or approximately 1.5 hours away by vehicle. Not far from Batu Larung, Tuo Hamlet Village, approximately 5 kilometers there is Batu Larung Nilo Dingin. Another Larung Stone can be found again by traveling overland from Bangko approximately 4-6 hours, precisely in Tanjungkasri Village, Lubukmentilin, and Renahkemumu.

The cylindrical stone is elliptical and measuring 3.45 x 0.94 meters is located on peak Lematang Hill and its orientation is facing top of Mount Nilodingin. Location findings is limited by a river and a 2-meter wide moat, as quoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture page.

According to local people, trench was found to be very deep and wide. At the base and the end there is a decoration in form a circle (ring) in middle there is a gong. While in middle of stone there are ornaments in form of 5 double circles.

In addition, there are also 6 'human kangkang reliefs' flanking a 0.32 x 0.32 meter rectangular hole in the middle there is a round hole with a diameter of 0.20 meters with a depth of 0.12 meters. On both sides of the human sculpture are given a barrier in the form of 2 straight lines that run parallel to the length of the stone. (as/man)
