Indonesian Tin Museum was founded in 1958 with the aim of recording the history of the meetings in the Pacific Islands and introducing them to the wider community. The establishment of this museum began in the 50s when at that time in mining activities found many traditional objects used by ancient miners, especially the Dutch era.
The new Tin Museum was officially opened and was officially inaugurated on August 2, 1997. In its development, this museum is very useful for the wider community because in it visitors can find out the history of the tin in Bangka Belitung, the development of mining technology since the Dutch era to the present.
